    FMS-3000. The scaling stays at .3 and GPS APP is on throughout the approach with the step down fix inserted.

    LNAV approaches sometimes contain step down fixes. My FMS has a vertical path angle (VPA) that will clear this step down fix if the temperature is ISA (+15 C at sea level) or above.     Is there a difference in symbology on your PFD that shows the difference between a flyby waypoint and a flyover waypoint? In the proline aircraft I fly I see no difference. Thanks in advance.

    High Temp limitation for LNAV/VNAV?

    I understand the reason for the cold weather limitation on LNAV/VNAV approaches but why on earth is there a limitation for high temps? Look at any RNAV approach and view the notes. Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance!
