Answer from A80 controller:
In the case of A80 (ATL), and when running Simultaneous Triple ILS approachs (w/PRM) the final controller has to ensure 3 miles or 1000 feet of separation between aircraft on adjacent final approach courses until BOTH are established on the LOC. This is why north...
If every NJ pilot has read this letter, then why jump my back, and why are some saying this is rumor? Obviously not everyone has read this letter.
So there it is for you, in black and white. I tried providing some information for people to follow up on for themselves, in case they have their...
Let me put it this way. EJA, NJA, same thing. I called it EJA, not my source. And finally, the source works for the company that provides all of your flight training and is in upper level management. I would think since they work directly with scheduling flight training for you guys they know...
I wasn't told about specific fleets, and truth be told my guy kinda backed up after he said it. One of those you didn't hear it from me type of things. I know rumors have been floating around for months now, but I can say to the best of my knowledge this is legit. I wish I knew for sure though...
Just as a FYI and heads up. I know many of you expected this to come...
I talked to a very reliable source today, a VP at a company directly related to EJA. The word is EJA will be laying off 500 pilots here in the very near future. Best of luck to you guys. While I trust the information I was...
Interesting,
I was at NBAA this week and there is Swiss company producing an UltraNav like program out there. It is different from UltraNav in that it is updated with AIRAC to include an obstacle database for all airports around the world.
I forget the name of the company, but I'll dig it up...
I know it's a completely different aircraft, but just recently...
E135 (Legacy 600) type rating: $26k.
Why would a PL21 HS125 be more?
Raises the question does it not?
From FAA Order 7110.65, Chapter 5, Section 9. (Radar Arrivals) Subsection 1, part b.
"...5-9-1. VECTORS TO FINAL APPROACH COURSE
Except as provided in para 7-4-2, Vectors for Visual
Approach, vector arriving aircraft to intercept the...
A job is something I do have. A flying job at that.
Anything else new?
Tell you what. Put your name on your words. PM if you want my number. I'll be more than happy to take your call.
Otherwise, I could care less what you think. Only punks sign things anonymously.
Abort after VR?
If you hit it you hit it. 140 kias is no time to play gran turismo with a jet aircraft. I know more than likely nothing structually will fail, (wings, vert/hortizontal) Just pray you dont FOD both engines and have dual engine failure. Loss of directional control above VR and...
Everyone check this out. I'd say Mr. White is going above and beyond to get that job! Check out his portfolio he has put together here: http://www.companyairplane.com/interviewstudio-final/home.php?member_id=29
Someone needs to hire this guy. He really stands out above the rest! I'd hire him...
Lets clarify something here about what Bushwickbill said. Yes it is free to post your job here. Free for you, but also free for pilots.
If you want to get the most exposure, and more applicants, post your jobs on the job posting sites. I suggest the one that was posted above...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the training contracts only an agreement that the airline will pay for your training, and being hired is contingent on passing the oral and type checkride? I dont know anyone who has ever entered into one of these contracts.
Anyway, good luck to you guys...
Here is the situation,
Final is busy, and due to merging of the streams, has to have aircraft join the LOC, then Descend maintain 5k before clearing for the approach.
Several times I have heard the instruction given, "10 miles from ABC (FAF), Cross XYZ (IAF) At or Above 5000, cleared ILS...
