...Academy said the same thing. He was from DCA. He said that once he earned about 500 HRS, they showed em the door....He could of been being an ***hole to them, but that makes two. It's also could be part of their 141 "Complete training" program if they have such...BTW which flight school was...
I don't like em either...If info the displays show is helpful. But I'd rather do steam guages. The only real feature I like about the G1000 is the XM satelite radio feature which can show weather. Most schools offer G1000 aircraft to train in. They try to get you to use the G1000 birds. But...
Nowadays $75.00 - $78.00 is about as good as it gets for a 150 rental...Here it is $75.00 *wet*....get it fast...150's are slowly disappearing....Sadly because they are alot of fun to fly. Viel Gluck.
Just wanna say Kudos on your store Neil. You don't know me, but I buy from you all the time. I usually walk in and buy. It's a one stop shop...You've got just about everything I would ever need. I have friends that fly as well. I'll be sure to point them in your direction.
Of course not...I don't have stock in the company. Honestly I've never liked ANY simulator used for flight training purposes. WHY? For the same reasons mentioned. I just try to use it the best way possible and you can learn from using them and save money in the process. Just trying to stay...
One more thing. Before we bust Redbird's balls, talk to your flight school. I'm not so sure that they can't order the Redbird with all the bells and whistles...If the flight schools are on a budget, or just don't want to spend for top dollar equipment, then you'll get generic programs in place...
Then it is settled....Lets all write Redbird and tell them what improvements need to be made to make their simulator a better product. Also something else to keep in mind. I have never heard of Redbird simulators until my local flight school got one. This means they were either a small outfit or...
Yeah ive seen pilots helping elderly folks on and off the
planes before. Also some skycaps here wear shoulder boards but
they are easily distinctive from pilots. They are usually red and silver with no
more than two stripes. Even TSA airside screeners wear them. 3 stripes max. Those are the...
As far as the gps, well there may have been some
legal issues with portraying the use of a garmin gps. After all
i dont remember it saying anything anywhere about it being a garmin certified product.
Not factual but this might explain the gps woes.
It's just a simulator.... Thats what it does.... Simulate....
poorly but hey you always have the option to rent a G1000 or steam guage Cessna
and get some simulated yet real experience that way.
Dont like it, then dont use it. Its ur money. Do as you please.
Guys it isn't a level D sim...we have on here in KPIE at CAMS flight school. Yeah it flies funny but name one simulator that you have been in that behaves like the real plane besides level D...... That is not the point. The point is to get the idea of how you should control the aircraft...small...
First I was asking CX888 what is he/she going to do about it not you since he/she saw this...you didn't see it. Non of us did....only CX888.
I disagree...CX888 could have done something....not you.
Just the Job for CX888.....
Is CX888 paying you? CX888 come out...after all this is your...
Well let me ask you this question....the next time you see a pilot riding a motorcycle or parading around on a bike with a bag of mcdonald's or see a person out of place, in such a manner...What are YOU gonna do about it?
Well I'm not going to carry the issue on my back...I don't see anything wrong with motorcycles. I love bikes. How many times have i seen public figures on the way to work on bikes?? Several...I have seen TSA screeners in uniform on bikes and in walmart shopping for groceries, I see cops on bikes...
You know, I asked my instructor about this before and he told me otherwise. I was thinking, the way the regulations were written, that you could use post experience to suffice for requirements on earning a different rating....When I said this he said....Look at the regs....what does it say? It...
Yeah there is no specific order in which you can do this..Just remember you must have the 250TT before you can get the commercial ticket. For your Commercial, you can rent a 172RG and do the required 10hrs of Instrument simulated or actual and get the complex experience at the same time.
This was very entertaining....But avbug has some strong points...strong opinions or fatcs...Kind of reminds me of Bill O'Reiley...no offense. I've seen guys n gals in pilot uniforms in ragged cars...I'm talkin real rust buckets and clunkers. Can't afford nice cars because they spent all their...
