Is it affecting your flying? Really glad to be single engine with 4 cylinders and 6 gph on average for local flying!

No, the price of fuel has no limited my flying in recent months. It was the temperature. Now it has cooled down a bit I expect to be back to flying at least once a week.

Best local fuel price just increased from $6.15 to $6.25.

I assume 6 gph was for Hobbs time. I log gals per tac hour but do have data for my first approx 500 hours.

I was talking about the fuel flow during typical flying for me. AvGas around me, lowest is near $6 at the army base I can fuel at which is nice, otherwise the GA hating airports like mine are approaching $9/gal.

100LL, like most fuels, is getting more expensive by the hour, but as far as I can tell, it still isn't the most expensive part of total ownership, and I would rather eat the cost than let the plane rot and lose the flying time, as we are all on the clock.

I guess that we should all be glad that it is still available in most places. Increasingly large areas of Canada no longer have 100LL available (not just in the north), with only one location remaining in all of Newfoundland (CYDF) and only one on Cape Breton (CYPD).

Cross-country planning will soon involve not just calling FBOs to check 100LL availability and price, but rather arranging shipment of fuel drums. It might be time to chase up a fuel pod for the cub...

I just need it to be available for another 3 years. If I keep flying that long I'll have 50 years since solo and may be willing to call it quits.
