The part that cracks me up is they use the same tactics that regionals use....only thing is when you do not have another company to use the whipsaw against it just doesn't work!!

You would think, as smart as they think they are, someone would have told management that it doesn't work when you are the sole provider of the service....

" accept our demands or else we will farm out the flying to another, to be named later carrier, piss off our clients and ultimately ruin the company.... But atleast we'll win the negotiation"

Signed J. Hansell

That's what happens when you get people with No Aviation knowledge running an aviation company...

Good point. 13 of the top 15 people at Wheels Up are former NetJets.

In fact, Jordan has driven away huge amounts of talent and expertise, all of which have simply moved over to our competitors and are now helping them level the playing field with NJ.

A couple years ago in another brilliant move, NJ told all of the subject matter experts, many of which had 20-30 years of experience in their field, that they had to move to Columbus or lose their jobs. Many chose to quit, and just took their skills and knowledge to our competitors.

Then, to compound matters and make things worse, NJ is backfilling openings with mini-me lawyers who don't know one end of the airplane from another. But because they are lawyers, in Jordan's eyes they are eminently qualified.

Sorry Gutshot, I just discovered this thread. Lots of valid points. All companies are less than perfect, and we seem to be heading in the wrong direction in many ways.
Familyguy, how do you know about the truly disturbing trend of hiring LAWYERS? They are NOT trained to manage companies or people, and usually make very inept managers, as do accountants.

I would urge everyone to not succumb to the temptation of reacting emotionally to every proposal the company submits during negotiations. They go low, we go high, and eventually we reach an agreement.

In my view, unless and until Hansell is removed, there is no hope for an agreement via negotiation. His "leadership" of this company is truly cancerous. The longer he remains, the shorter the future of this company would appear to be.

I'm usually of the belief that "it's not personal Sonny, it's strictly business." But this is getting personal and Hansell is responsible.

I've personally seen them hire several people for different positions and then found out later that each had their law degree.

I couldn't agree more on the management aptitude of attorneys and accountants, unfortunately that's all we've seen for the last 3 years.
