with all the name changes lately its hard to know which regional is which

Lets go through the name changes

I will go first

1. ASA is now Express Jet

Why are we seeing the name changes?

Atlantic Southeast > ExpressJet due to merger with ExpressJet and epic failure of attempted name change to SureJet.

Mesaba/Pinnacle/Colgan > Endeavor Air to try to turn page after merger, bankruptcy, and acquisition by Delta.

American Eagle Airlines > Envoy Air due to AAG's decision to use "American Eagle" as a brand for all American feed operated by numerous outsourced providers (e.g. American Eagle operated by SkyWest Airlines).

Thanks

How about the old chataqua?

Chautauqua is still operating as one of 3 operating certificates owned by Republic Airways Holdings. RAH's other certificates are Shuttle America and Republic. Pilots flying at these airlines are under one combined contract and seniority list. Reportedly RAH intends to consolidate down to 2 operating certificates as they park Chautauqua's ERJs, although to my knowledge they haven't officially disclosed which certificate will be returned.

Easy........management teams across the board are trying to put a new dress on an old whore. The desperation of trying to sweep horrible reputations under the rug and buff the turd with a new name would possibly have worked before the age of the internet. However, thanks to the age of social media, it is no longer possible to hide the truth from perspective labor candidates.

Perspective and prospective

I don't want to be the grammar police but this is one that keeps being repeated - much like "lose" and "loose."

It is a "prospective" employee - but hopefully they are getting some perspective on this site.

Perhaps the spell-checker thought it was smarter than the writer; it happens now with smart-phones. And my children already complain about grammar corrections, so I'm immune from further whining about it here.

Now back to our regularly-scheduled gripes about the industry. In that, I fully concur.

You wrote a message in the wrong thread.

Now get back to managing a paper bag hero!
