I have recall rights to AA. I was a TWA guy for 14+ years and was furloughed from AA. I still have no intentions of returning to that place anytime soon. Just imagine an entire airline of Splert's; no thanks.

Thats ironic because my nightmare is an entire airline full of B6Driver's; Oh wait, never mind.

Leaving millions of $$ laying on the table by way of better retirement and healthcare benefits. Plus better post-retirement travel benefits. Plus your own legal services in case you screw up. Plus your own legal team in case of a merger. Plus international pay. Plus wide-bodies.

Not smart, man...not too smart.

Not me, I'm a yes voter. Although I disagree that a union will give us widebody aircraft...

I was referring to a pilot who has decided to not go back to AA. Even after getting "TWA-ed" by the APA in the "merger" it still makes more sense to go back for the reasons I mentioned. Just my opinion, though. If I had recall rights, I'd have been gone yesterday.

A union can't guarantee us anything but it will give us a better fighting chance to negotiate for the things we need.

If what you said was true, I would be foolish to stay but it's not. Check your facts and know the reality of my situation before you post and sound foolish yourself.

We live in a land of law's. I don't make the law's but I will do my best to ensure all those promises are kept. We want JB to keep their promises made but you fault me for demanding the same of ALPA. Please help me understand the disconnect?

Wisdom > the law.

Not everything that is legal is either moral or wise.

ALPA is an association of pilots. I fail to see the wisdom in sttempting to collect from a new hire Mesa FO single dime.

You are pissed at ALPA so you do.

Fact.

It is sad that others are left accountable for the unwise and immoral actions and past decisions of ALPA. It is ALPA that that will ultimately make that final decision as to who will pay in the end, not I.

That there is classic a rationalization.

You don't want accountability. You want money from pilots, people, who are innocent bystanders - not even member when you were integrated in 2001.

The idea being spread by key pilots at JetBlue is that we would be liable for damages to former TWA pilots if we voted in ALPA.

Billions.

If that is true then a new hire Mesa pilot who was not in the business in 2001 would also be liable.

Seems like B6Driver would not wait more than second to cash their check.

ALPA has less and less money every day so you can be certain that I will cash any cash award check coming my way ASAP.
Splert's rationale is a real leap but he is entitled to make it because this is just an opinion board after all.

EXACTLY which "key pilots" by name are "spreading this info?
Yes, by name.

Splert's rationale is a real leap ...

Cash flow is from only one source and that is dues from members.

Do they have another division? Maybe they are in the porn industry too and have a cash flow stream from that in which you can tap into.

Were is ALPA cash flow from since I made a real leap?

Where is it? I thought the TWA gang said ALPA doesn't have enough insurance and members will be accessed.

ALPA sells their services for hire to outside groups. SWAPA and the APA are just a few. ALPA laying the burden upon members like you mentioned is totally unfair but they make those decisions with out my input. I will be happy to volunteer you in exchange so the first year Masa pilots will not be harmed. Generous guy like yourself would probably have no problem with that.
