It's just some jacka$$ being stupid. Disregard.
New here? Every pay raise has come with a cost.

The entire chain of command from COO to PAR have said that code sharing will be needed to pay for PSIA base pay. As if our lack of vacation, profit sharing and health care and RSV scheduling rules were not enough to pay PSIA plus 40%.

Do you mean like DL, AA, UAL, HAL, ALK?
Confirmed. You are a jetblue pilot. Which is strictly translated to: "Hey everyone I am an idiot and proud of it".

Your PPA allows the company to domestically code share on any and all new routes with any sized aircraft. The only limitation is after 2 years the PVC can terminate the code share. The company now wants to amend the PPA to remove the 2 year PVC limitation. So according to "Jetblue pilot" that is the same as AA and ALK code sharing on a extremely limited basis between SEA and ORD and the same as UAL code sharing with SkyWest on CRJ 900.

Also the PPA allows unlimited code sharing between the mainland and Hawaii.

Also the PPA allows unlimited code sharing beyond the range of the A320. Not the A321 NEO of which we have 40 order but the A320.

Also if the PVC is replaced everything above unwinds and we have no protection. Remember when USAirways voted ALPA out? Their CBA became status quo. Including scope. If the PVC is voted out by and in house or ALPA then the PPA evaporates along with out scope protection and that is the opposite of DL, AA, UAL, HAL, ALK.

Yes. We have NEOs slots that can and will be converted into A321NEOs.

BTW, it really does not matter. The range was set as A320 not A320 NEO or A321 NEO. Just "like DL, AA, UAL, HAL, ALK'?

Such willful ignorance is astounding. Smarta$$, you're straining at gnats and missing the entire point: We have very weak scope language already, but that's not good enough for Bluejet. They are transparently attempting to get around their own contract language yet again, either by:
1. Having the PVC waive it, which this PVC has too much spine to do, or
2. Change the PVC via recall to one that will waive it, or
3. Doing an end run around the PVC. Specifically they're trying to cast doubt on the PVC's actions and motives (see #2) and going back to a pure "direct relationship" by having the pilots directly ratify a pay raise that they're going to get anyway in return for greatly reduced or eliminated scope.

All this and you're focusing on the fact that Splert said 321neo vs. 321. What's is this, high school debate club? Wake up, dude!

I thought we could sign our PEA for the raise and still vote no on the ppa changes per the protocol agreement?

You have the process in reverse. PPA is 2A. PEA is 2B.

You will have a choice to do what every other pilot group does. "Trade scope for pay". I heard this from Flight Operations a few days ago and here you are repeating the same talking point.

Maybe Smarta$$ is a cubical troll from OSC.

And we have pizza and sharkletts! And since we're parking 330's all around our JFK terminal, we may some day get wide bodies. That's what they told me in training.

We're gonna grow like crazy when we start two-way codesharing!

And obtaining a median hourly pay by trading away scope, health care, profit sharing, defined contribution, retiree medical, premium pay, and schedule productivity only increases PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY which is what the new paradigm is all about.

Waiting for answer. If we vote no to ppa changes, will the company not release the PEA amendment with the pay raises?

Your vote/opinion has been abrogated time and again for 13 years. You don't have a vote. The DR is a mechanism for silly lambs who need to feel like they have some input into what the ELT is going to do anyway.
