Does voting YES cause the most harm to EAST pilots? That is how I am looking at it. USAPA has painted themselves into a no-win corner and we now face a take it or leave it vote due to the CLT brain trust. I now see how LOA 93 and pension lost happen out east, overplaying your hand and mis-information from your union handlers. At least the end of USAPA looks near and we can all string out not paying USAPA to get a little value back from the worst experiment in pilot leadership ever....

If I were to vote today it would be yes.
However, I will be open minded enough to change to no if convinced by more information.

Carl you are so right the mis-information from ALPA local and national was dispicable. I hope APA will be a little less corrupt, immoral and down right less dispicable but somehow I don't think it will be.

Hmm, local ALPA was all US pilots and ALPA national had a US pilot at the executive level. So who did you need to protect you from yourself? APA?

The east pilots have a knack for turning anyone and everyone into a Saturday-morning cartoon villain, so unfortunately you are probably right, until the east pilots mature a little.

What's next, call me "Yellow"? Threaten to have your dad come punch my dad in the nose? Wake up and smell the injunction and vote YES.

-- 15-20% reduction per year of the fleet
-- unlimited code share on AA AND any other code share partner that AA has or WILL GET in the future
-- nearly unlimited expansion of Express

Explain how any pilot votes for that and retains any notion of having self-respect, or any sliver of respect for the profession.

Hi Birdie,

I paid a crap load of money to ALPA national. I wrongly thought they would at least do a little bit of suppervision but as history has shown you pay for the magazine and nothing else.

When APA recently put out a vote, it was essentially AA saying "give this to us....or we'll take it anyway". There was not a good side. Voting it down sent the message, "if you want it, we'll make you take it from us." This MOU is basically, "take this little bit of good, because the we're going to cram the rest up your backside regardless." End result? There are going to be some downsides and refusing a pay raise with the inevitable doesn't show self respect, it demonstrates ignorant hardheadedness. On the other side of the coin, at least you can say you were consistent.

At least with ALPA, you got a magazine. What promise has USAPA delivered? Zero.

If there is a merger, will the USAIR pilots just staple the AAL pilots to the bottom of the list? That's what American pilots have done to ever pilot group they've ever merged with. It would be sweet justice.

The law doesn't allow that anymore.
