Does anyone know if Stratus works in the CRJ?

I am a 1/2 partner in a 414 and the other owner just bought a Stratus and I thought it might be nifty to bring to work.

I havent been on FI for quite a while, but it looks like the same caliber of doo-shes still hang out lobbing flame at anyone with anything threatening their smallness in the universe.

I'm sure the owner of said nifty magic box would appreciate you dragging it around the country on a 4 day?

I'm not surprised to see the responses here. Very little thought of what is going on outside an RJ cockpit. It would work in most areas. ADS-B is scheduled to be nation wide by 2013 via NextGen ATC. A lot of options with this product available with Foreflight. Not sure about the legalities of using it 121.

Couldn't agree more, with the majority of that time spent looking at glass & punching buttons instead of heads up looking out the window, especially in the dep/arr phase.

The "owner" of said box may need the OP in order to fly in the case of a medical or insurance issue. The OP asked a question, the specified peice of electronics has decent reception in the 601/604 series, however placement of the antenna must be very forward on the glareshield.

We do what we're best at.....people who spend hours on end texting do well at ACARS/FMS bullsh!t. Guys like flipping switches and pressing buttons, makes them feel useful. Looking out a window is tedious and usually doesn't have a reward.
