The 5th an the 20th. Sometimes the day before or after if those dates fall on a holiday or Sunday. Mine have always been on that date or the day before. The bank makes a difference it seems.

5th and 20th. If either is on a Saturday they come a day early if on a Sunday a day late

Paying a day late is BS....if payday falls on a Sunday, you should be paid on Friday. Do they expect you to ever be late to work?

Oh come on. Someone flying for Southwest ain't exactly living paycheck to paycheck like a pos rj punk. Waiting an extra 24 hours for a paycheck should not be an earth shattering emergency.

Like I said mine has never been on the late side. That seems to be more of a bank issue. They can do it, but I have never seen it. Not that one day either way makes a difference.

Please let me know that next time you request my Jumpseat...

Your acting like 150-250k is all the money in the world. It's all relative.. I am sure many a SWA pilot is paying through the ass with alimony child support, cars, boats, houses... It's not exactly what you make, more what you spend...

Of course it's all relative to what you make versus what you spend. However, someone that makes more money on a four day trip than I make in a month should have a much more stable financial situation. Excessive cars, boats and other toys are simply a foolish waste if they cause you to be financially strapped.

Don't fool yourself, there are plenty of guys over here living paycheck to paycheck! I've personally flown with guys that don't contribute anything to their 401K, Nothing. And that's just on the Capt. side, I'm sure there are FO's as well! Common reasons are going through or went through a BAD Divorce, Bankruptcy (usually due to Bad real estate decesions) or both. Just because you are making 220K a year, doesn't mean you can't live Paycheck to Paycheck.

I know a pilot who, between he and his wife, make 200k a year with ZERO overtime. ( And they both work plenty of that )

BANKRUPT.

They don't drive Ferrari's, they had a modest boat, and an "average" McMansion of about 3200 sq ft.

No minks or $800.00 pairs of shoes. Just two small kids, public schools, in a place where the cost of living/tax base is relatively low.

BANKRUPT.

WHY?

Very poor Money Managers.

It's not all about what you earn, it's not really about what you spend....it's mainly about what you keep for yourself and how you keep track of it all.

Well, it's not like it's a surprise to us. We can easily look at a calendar and see....hmmm, the 20th is Sunday, so it will for sure be in there by the 21st. But, as mentioned, most of the time it's early in that situation.

I use BofA (TX) and have yet to have a late deposit. It may post to SWALife a day late, but that doesn't affect my access to my money.

I'm on Pacific Time. Never early. If pay day is on the 6th or 21st, I'll maybe see it late that night, but usually not until the next morning.

Just think of the extra intrest SWA gets by having all that cash in the bank an extra day.

Just think of all that interest they lose when they pay early- which is way more often than late IMO-

Much ado...

How about swacu experiences?

If that's true, about a 4 day paying more than you make in a month, then you need a new job.

Are you saying these pilots aren't even contributing the minimum amount that is matched dollar-for-dollar by the company? Ouch!

Like today- paid at midnight last night- ie: :01 seconds after the 17th ended-
Like the previous poster said- that's BS!
;)
