Not always, just had an ETOPS sector on the way to Moscow from the south. Had another one on the way to Sydney over the "great australian fu** all" desert

I believe it will be a long time before Southwest gets ETOPs. Not to say they can't, I just don't think they will. I think they have too much on their hands right now as the industry changes around them and continues to upset their little domestic apple cart.
