This guy will most likely look back on this day and be thankful. Too many modern day pilots hate their job but yet don't have the stones to make a career switch and thus continue the cycle of misery. This guy just had the decision made for him.

Noun:
The expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.

Go ahead, Clutch, enlighten me--OR, maybe don't use a simple word without understanding its meaning.

Ok. I'll try.

Here are seven words you never hear...

"It's been a pleasure flying with you"..

PS It's ironic that a guy with the name Little Mojito is bashing someone for drinking.

Can you showed me where I bashed the guy for drinking? I have no problem with people drinking. I do have problem with people trying to fly while drunk. It's a slight distinction, but if ryou ead carefully, you might understand.

Listen to yourselves bashing each other. A man made a mistake that has huge consequences, including possibly losing his career, and you guys are sitting here flinging mud at each other. Worst than third graders.

Instead of acting like a bunch of school kids, pray for this man - he needs it.

Haha. You know a guy has finally realized he's an idiot when he throws out these words. Can't defend himself, so let's try and divert the conversation. We can do this all day--I have a 2 year old.

Not ironic in the least. The van driver made a call that potentially saved lives. At the very least his call kept the other pilot from being placed in a tough spot. Please stop being an idiot--the van driver's phone call didn't ruin this pilot's life. THE PILOT RUINED HIS OWN LIFE. The fact that you are incapable of making that distinction makes me question whether you should be in the cockpit at all. What is it with this generation of kids that cannot take responsibility for their actions? Geesh!

Outstanding Post!!

Pretty much sums up todays young guys....My favorite...It's was the planes fault.

According to another forum, an XJT crew was on the van to the hotel with the Cha crew the night before. The XJT crew say that both Cha guys were being rude to the van driver, in part because he made them wait for the XJT crew. So if the morning escapades involve the same crew and same van driver (big assumption), my guess is that there was no tipping... unless you count the van driver tipping off the airport police.

Drunk Pilot in Omaha...

Showing up drunk for a flight is always a bad deal, but nobody knows the circumstances involved. It's amazing to see pilots bashing each other and acting like a bunch of school girls. Is everyone looking for a upgrade from first officer?
