Just wanted to get this thread started....seems like the mods lost their minds at the other site.

Any latest rumors at Delta?

1st! (the thread on the other board is up to 15millionth post) with several thousand silly bikini pictures.

Yea, leave it to the RJ guy to be accurate.

The "other" thread has 85.5k posts and 9.3M views. So either way, you're only off that loc by about 7-8 dots. Continue.

This is why the old guys don't care about selling you down the river. Every time an RJ puke posts some garbage on a board or spews some junk on a radio it reinforces the idea that you are an intellectually and mechanically inferior set of aviators who deserve less. That's harsh, but from their perspective it rings true.

You respond to his garbage with more garbage.

Expect hiring late this year, to early next year. The quote was, "the hiring pool is getting very shallow". Expect a South/Latin American increase in flying as AMR retrenches, and another Transatlantic cut.

I hear they are going to take another round of pay cuts and ship more flying off to SkyWest. Does that sound about right?

I know I would be willing to take a huge paycut and undercut any other regional operator out there if I were allowed to fly a new 100 seat jet! Hopefully, General will vote yes like he did last time and send them our way! </sarcasm>

Don't know about the General, and anyone can see your sarcasm, but higher profits usually don't include scope erosion in the next contract. Pay increases? Yes. Scope give aways? No.

Godspeed!

Pay increases? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

And you don't know about the General.....right.....

I can't stop laughing about Song getting pay raises. You guys will trade cash for magic beans or something stupid. Don't get mad though. It's a Song pilots natural instinct to give money to the company. You guys can't help it.

Pay increase? Ha ha ha ha ha

What's your plan now TC? Are you still in the USAF? How is your hiring outlook at LUV?

So you came to FlightInfo for less drama? Ooh, haha that's rich.

Two warnings/infractions have been given on this thread. If you all want to trash each other do it through private message. Thank you for your participation.

Still in the AF. Thanks for asking. Got retirement coming up fairly soon. I haven't been flying much, so I need to pad my time. Had a SWA interview last summer that I had to cancel due to not being able to separate from the AF in time to take the class. Might go to Delta if SWA isn't hiring. I'm getting into the game a little late, so I have to get as much of a pay off as possible.

I hope they hire but it's hard to believe the pool is getting shallow. Who is taking the top applicants? Fedex and...

No kidding. The other place is over moded and this place is way under moded. I suppose the owners here don't care what people say, they get paid by the number of clicks. Too bad.

Keep up the good work. 86 a few of the folks that are here strictly to throw poo and you may turn this site into something better than a playground.

I can only imagine the daily pain and agony you must go through to keep up these silly comments.

From what I'm seeing at ASA- lots of people that were holding out for DAL are now applying to USAirways. I can see the pool getting shallower and shallower, from where I sit. I'd say a healthy 70% of the Captains at ASA are not going to move on, without the liquidation of their employer.

My brother in law just finished AF flight training, and graduated first in his class. He ran to the C-17 because he knew he'd be flying, and not joining an unmanned aircraft group. The class immediately in front of him went 100% UAV. Since that time does not qualify you for logged flight time at a Major, or any where else for that matter, where else is the pool of pilots going to come from?????? Even the military is drying up.

From what my contacts are saying- when DAL starts to hire, they intend to do so indefinately for a VERY lengthy amount of time. It's getting to the point that ASA (ExpressJet) and the DAL MEC is in talks with management to establish a pilot pipeline between the two companies- a sort of flow. This is strictly theory for now, but it is being discussed as an option.
