Just because someone gets a "pink" slip on a type ride or needs a few more hours of OE, doesn't mean they're "lost." You make it sound like almost 50% are not even able to make it through to the line. I find that hard to believe.

SEVEN, did you bust your type ride? Uh oh!

From what I heard, that is basically the proposition the company is giving UACO. Either give more money/expansion on the Q400 fleet, and ditch the saabs... Or 9E will ditch those planes and the entire contract via bankruptcy. Delta ops are not the root of the financial problems.

I think the cRJ to Q transition will be pretty easycompared to Q or CRJ FO to SAAB Captain...yikes

YIKES...you must have forgotten were not allowed to bid Saab captain...I think an angel gets its wings everytime you fly that Saab...

per your previous post...I do hope we fly together someday...im sure youll be the PIC and ill be your little gear bitch....despite the fact that im probably senior to you...

More likely, I will be teaching your ground school...I am full-time in the trng. dept. so rarely fly the line anymore, but I'll swing gear for ya' anytime...I wasn't referring to seniority issues, but I was originally hired here in June 04'...JU guys going to the SAAB does sound like giid entertainment in the sim though!

No Bust. Haven't started sims yet. Nice try though. See you in DTW soon.... I'll be the guy with black pants/blazer and a blue trenchcoat.

I'll be the guy in full blues because my uniform hasn't shown up yet even though I ordered it right away when they asked us to. Add in the time it will take to reorder because nobody told us to order 2 sizes too big, and I should be in blues for another 6 months or so. That should be nice.

I thought you were a MSP guy? Are you now gonna commute to DTW? I feel bad for anyone on that commute. Very hard, and many times the best option is to two-leg it through Green Bay, Appleton, MKE.

I would think MDW would be a better choice. Lots of Southwest flight between MSP - MDW - DTW.

One of the truest things ever said on FI.com.

There isn't a lot of accountability in either training dept. At my airline within Pinnacolaba, when one hears of another failing a sim event, the same Instructor names keep coming up. Where's the standardization in that? The mgmt sides of our training & standards departments don't get it.
There is accountability. Perhaps you need to be accountable for posting inaccurate information. 5 out of 11 isnt correct or even close. Call someone who has the facts and they will tell you. I can assure you the success of the pilots training is very important to the people in Training and Standards. I suggest you call the CRJ Program Manager or Manager of Flight Standards and offer your personal advice.
In fact the failure rates for Captains was printed in the last Flight Standards Newsletter that I read online.
Ill say it for every pilot. There is no one to blame when someone doesnt study and wants to be spoon fed.

Thanks for caring...I'm assuming you're not sincere...anyway, I am DTW based...have always been based here...Still in shock when I look at the 9E badge on the lanyard. You MSP based?
