So the radar blip will be coded CAL, but the controller needs to say "United" if I read this right? This did not work at the nightmare AWA/AAA merger after the blip went to USA but the callsign went to Cactus. It was changed to AWE in about a week due to controllers set on saying the old callsign with the old blip. Time to get a new blip/ID or let the mayhem begin.


No, every flight will be filed as UAL. Technically, the old United certificate is being retired Nonmember 30. Everything will be on the old CAL (New United) certificate. Call sign United, coded UA. At least that's how I understand the memo.
 
Yes yes you found me out. I couldn't find any puppies to kick so I took it out on Coex - whatever.

Sounds like you should work at CAL.

$50 an hour to fly an E-190 (major). Dude, I would be stomping on those puppies, but would be very careful making fun of anybody else.
