Looking for internal source on Fleet/domicile growth plans. Company sustainability. Upgrade times. Retirement numbers. Scheduling. Do they hire without PIC turbine but 121 carrier experience? Any info on the hiring process would be appreciated. PM me if you are willing to offer and mentoring or assistance.

Thanks

2 airplanes this year, 7 next year...have 36 remaining orders, convertible to 330's. Domiciles are FLL, DTW, ACY...rumor for ORD, LAS or DFW base to open some time next year. As far as sustainability, small company=small pockets...Spirit has a very unique product, and it makes money...288.7 million revenue with 27.7 million profit for the 3rd quarter.

Junior captain (most recent award) is a 2006 hire

Retirements in the next few year, I can only guess as to a few here and there for the next 3 or 4 years, picking up a little after that, but only for a short while.

"Hey Farva, what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the $hit on the walls???"

Something must be wrong with this site.

I clicked on the "Majors" tab and now I'm reading about Spirit...i guess those 330's got them moved over here.

Wow, when did this happen? Source?

SEC Filings...from the AIRBUS A320 FAMILY PURCHASE AGREEMENT in the S1 filings. The ***** denotes confidential information in the filings. So I guess, it could say "no conversion rights to A330". But in a way any option is convertible to anything, provided you come to terms with the contract holder. But never the less it is in the S1...

2.3 Conversion Rights
(i) Conversion Rights on Additional A319 Firm Aircraft *****

(ii) Conversion Rights on A319 Firm Aircraft *****

(iii) Conversion Rights to A330-200 Aircraft *****

I'm not disagreeing with you...but what defines a major carrier?

You may want to complain to the mods to have them relabel the sections.

I've applied 3 times, I have 5k hours and ATP and 121 tpic and not call.
I've been told you need an internal to get the call. I'm starting to think that it is the only way.

So, the thread "Needing a boat name" in the Majors, belongs as well?
btw, I think that thread is harmless here as well. Just reading material, enjoy.

For the record...a "Major Airline" is defined by the D.O.T. as having at least $1 Billion in annual revenue.

Spirit is not a Major airline. Spirit is a National airline: as defined as having between $100 Million - $1 Billion in annual revenue.

Hope this clears that up.
