Um, this was not in any way shape or form a displacement email. Do you whining babies need to complain about everything? For crying out loud, the guy puts out a notice stating:
While we anticipated issuing a displacement bid this week, we are still working out some details and need some more time to ensure the best possible scenario for our pilots. We will work to get that out as soon as possible."
It's a heads up that something is forthcoming! If he didn't say anything, you would complain about how dare they blind side us with this.....they don't care, etc.
Do we have to bitch about everything?
I would think y'all would just come fly the EMB if nothing else. We're all the same company now for crying out loud. We got a union email saying all our guys who were furloughed and took positions over in ATL flying the CRJ might be coming back over. That should help. Hang in there.
Lets see, it was an email that referenced displacements forthcoming - in an oh by the way format. But OK, you're right if that makes you feel better.

Does it surprise anyone that they didn't send out a displacement e-mail the day before a company family event at headquarters?
COMA in Jan? Guess we should start up the furlough assessments again
How can they furlough when XJT is hiring?
It's two separate pilot groups. Yet another reason we should all be working together, not in-fighting.

From our training center - ExpressJet (Legacy) to hire 360+ in next 12 months and upgrade 180. Assuming we don't lose some flying too, which they don't "think" we will.
Source? I heard something similiar to that about a year ago. I'm wondering if this is the same rumor.
Wow. I give up.
Now......what did you want him to do? Spring it at the last second?
Source was I was in the training center last week. Our Ground instructor told us this and he got the info from P. Sailer, the guy that makes all the staffing numbers work and handles all that stuff. Guys are leaving XJT yes. We're seeing senior and jr. captains bail as well as FO's. Plus we've been grossly understaffed for a long long time. I think we're at around 2900 pilots now.
