Um, this was not in any way shape or form a displacement email. Do you whining babies need to complain about everything? For crying out loud, the guy puts out a notice stating:

While we anticipated issuing a displacement bid this week, we are still working out some details and need some more time to ensure the best possible scenario for our pilots. We will work to get that out as soon as possible."

It's a heads up that something is forthcoming! If he didn't say anything, you would complain about how dare they blind side us with this.....they don't care, etc.

CT basically wrote that they were going to have a displacement notice out this week but they are still working out the kinks. How is that not "in any way shape or form" a displacement e-mail? It was pretty unambiguous..

Do not accept any extensions due to our soon to be shorter staffed situation. Think ct needs to retire with the soc. People are still leaving for other places. 6 planes worth of people will be gone as soon as the disacements are affective.

From our training center - ExpressJet (Legacy) to hire 360+ in next 12 months and upgrade 180. Assuming we don't lose some flying too, which they don't "think" we will.

Guys are leaving XJT yes. We're seeing senior and jr. captains bail as well as FO's. Plus we've been grossly understaffed for a long long time. I think we're at around 2900 pilots now.

You may have been "grossly understaffed" before Skywest gave BH the reigns to your operation. Welcome to the new "properly staffed".

I find it pretty much impossible that you're on track to hire almost 400 pilots since no one is really hiring right now and because BH won't hire until at least 2 more catastrophic staffing failures that make our "mainline partners take notice"... And then he might hire about 25% of what we need.
