It means they're replacing old planes with new ones, "To keep our fleet status quo," according to the article you posted.

It means mainline will be begging the pilots for more scope relief so Jerry can start buying 100+ seat jets.

Is that "organic" or "industry-leading" status quo?

Really doesnt mean that much....

I'm gonna buy a beach house and a boat one day....I've been looking at those real estate books when I am in florida and look on ebay at boats for sale.

Still, no boat! no beach house.

what I will guarantee you is that none of that order will be for 50 seat RJs.

It won't be for mainline aircraft either. Is Beechcraft starting up the B1900 line again? Maybe replacement aircraft for Air Mekong, or maybe they have a subsidiary called Air Imadong? Joe could be the chief pilot of that one.

Bye Bye--General Lee

You stop giving up scope and we won't have to worry about this. Put the keyboard down and put your money where your mouth is on scope.

JennyLeigh, Oys-Yo-Yo, same PUTZ!

Also, keep in mind that Skywest's CPA with CAL allows for 75 larger aircraft to replace the 145 as their leases expire.

Hope that happens....Don't you:)

What is it about NO SCOPE RELIEF that you don't understand? Man, I flew with a lot you types at my last airline. There's a reason they never made it out. Enjoy your RJ cause that is ALL you will ever fly.

And why is that bad? I know guys that all they will ever fly is a Citation or a Lear or even a King Air, and are perfectly content. Who says to succeed you MUST go fly an Airbus?

That is exactly my point. These guys are NOT content flying an RJ for the remainder of their careers. They drool over the opportunity to fly something larger, for FAR less pay, by hoping we cave on scope. Again, it's not happening.
