I did get furloughed from Airways as well but it was actually a really great experience (Pennsylvania unemployment sure helped).

here is the latest info I got from CLT recurrent training this week on hiring.

52 positions from the last bid as we all know. 28 of thoes positions are being filled by guys who were hired in 2008 and never got to class. 4 positions are west guys comming east. That leaves 20 new hires off the street (never interviewed before).

In 2011 we will need 24 newhires per month to keep the current staffing level with the projected retirements.

Again this is what I was told this week from the 190 boss in recurrent.
