Maybe that was one of the contributing factors.. did they push back too far?? or was the 380 over to the left side of the taxiway?

Ya got to know that the Vertical stab is bent all the way through the airframe..of that CRJ.. it took a Big wack, looks like the left main came off the ground for a moment.. like kids toys...

I bet that composite wing tip on the 380 will cost a pretty penny.. or is that a franc..

The french spin machine is already out in force... According to the WSJ a person "familiar with the matter" says Comair may have "moved too soon" which is impossible given the video.

Other commenters said the Comair was waiting to be marshalled in to the gate...said u could see marshaller walking up to the Comair plane.

The story said Comair just landed from Boston. If his tail is too far
out, tough tiddly winks. This is 100% Air France Captains fault. The video even shows his taxi speed to be excessive given the tight quarters of JFK. I do agree that the tail on the CRJ is much stronger than I thought. Certianly stronger than an Airbus. But, that airframe is probably a hull loss given the loads that were transferred to the fuselage support structure.

I wonder how many of the passengers unclicked their seatbelts after landing thinking the dangerous part of the flight was over :)

For those saying the crj got pushed around like a toy, you might want to take a look at the weight difference of the aircraft and the speed at the moron in the flight deck of the 380 was taxiing. I would say the rj did just fine. I wonder how many people on that plane are suffering from whiplash now though

On second look, the video is definitely sped up. Watch the truck on the lower right, it's moving a bit quick. The light that comes out behind the truck looks like a walking ramper and man does he move!!! The slowed down part of it actually looks like normal speed.
