Had a SWA ramper mention this week we were sending a Cargo
Team to ATL...said Airtran doesn't carry Cargo but was about to bigtime. Can any Trannies confirm??

We did cargo for a while , but stopped about 2 or 3 years ago. Not sure why. We would haul live crabs out of Baltimore the container would leak so the airplane would smell like, well you know. Then on the back haul we would get a load of flowers, then the airplane would smell like, you get the picture.

I watched $40 million or some crazy amount of cash coming off on the belt loader one day. Like an Elton John Pez dispenser.

Very classy.

An MEL regarding a gash or crack in a seat cushion is really not that unusual.

I don't understand your hostility to Capt. Fuzzy's statement ? It's obvious that he's an animal lover. I'll refer you to his earlier statement; "I like monkeys".

Case closed.

I used to see stacks and stacks of mail cartons left unguarded and exposed on the ATL ramp. Then it started to rain. The ramp idiots let it get ruined. No supervision, no accountability. That was the end of the mail contract.

The following week I saw boxes and boxes of tropical fish left exposed to 95+ degree temperatures on the ramp for hours. They were all ruined. That was the end of the cargo contracts.

Total incompetence and lack of quality control.
