Do your FO's need to have a current first class medical? Here at CAL we are required to have one. Initially, that was not the case, but has been for the last couple of years.

Rumor is France pushed for it. Claimed it was needed for IRO flights and to meet international standards.

Yes, we do. We are typed like you and to operate in an augmented crew the FO's need a first class. Those under 40 every year, and those over 40 every six months.

.. if not on a type rated fleet (M88, the only fleet we don't type FOs) you only need the first class once a year. Type rated fleets you need to get it twice a year but the EKG is only required annually for those over 40, if under 40 the FAA EKG rules apply.

I am not sure whether we type the A320 guys....

interesting. yeah we do IRO stuff on the 737 and typed so First class required.

so we just announced an LAX base, am curious how many guys you have based out there?

without considering UAL merger issues, our base is a small one. 58 FO, 60 CA 737

We can only fly to OGG, HNL, CLE, IAH, EWR if I understand the transition agreement correctly.

Wait a minute - at Delta the COMPANY pays for your 737 type rating? I guess DAL really is a PFT outfit, as in the company (P)ays (F)or your (T)raining. Pretty sweet.

Don't be sore about buying (or getting mom and dad to buy) your 73 type to try to get out of SKYW. I'm sure the blind worship of SWA will pay off for you one day.

Just as lame as your previous post.

No intentions of going to SWA, don't have a 73 type, and don't work for Skywest. Damn man, 0-3. The ignorance of some is amazing, in a pathetic way. Educate yourself on PFT.

You're right that I really don't know much about PFT. All 7 of my type ratings were paid for by employers. I'm sure you have way more experience with PFT, hence your vast knowledge on the subject.

You're also right that I'm ignorant. I don't have 3300 posts on FI, most of which are attacks on other members, to help bolster my knowledge. And ego.

You went 2-0. Congratulations. You win. I made the mistake of responding to a web board troll. Lesson learned.

:bawling::bawling: :bawling: It's gonna be ok. No need to get your panties in a wad. :D

Understanding PFT is not rocket science, though you seem to be having a tough time comprehending. So genius, how much money do employees pay SWA to work there? Come on, I know you know the answer. You don't need actual PFT experience to understand.

Bid, it really is not a big deal since Delta pays for the FAA physicals. U just got to go see ur doctor twice a year...

I just did a double take. I thought you were Dooker.

The A320, DC-9, and MD-88 F/O's must get there medical issued as a first class, but only yearly. Those fleets only get an SIC type.
