The fact that the article said he 'hadn't been heard from in 7-10 days' doesn't necessarily mean no-one missed him for 7-10 days--- maybe concerned relatives/friends contacted police sooner, and the police waited that long before making a more thorough investigation.

Regardless, it's sad.

RIP. An airline pilot leads a scattered life and 7-10 days gone is nothing my neighbors or friends would think twice about.

About ten years ago I had an older acquaintance that was discovered sitting in his lounge chair dead from a heart attack. The coroner estimated he had been dead for over two months.

Let's not get too riled up. We all know God doesn't go by DOH. Whoever your God is doesn't affect you until you die then you have to deal with that depending on your faith. I have a hunch faith doesn't matter but that is just me. We won't know until we see the white light and then we will know. I have a couple of FO's junior to me there now so will have to see. I would hate to move them out of their place.

Does anybody know why this became headline news? Is there some suspicion this was terrorism related? Missing badge/uniform/FFDO creds? It's a tragedy, but CNN typically filters out the more common tragedies to make room to tell us what Sarah Palin had for lunch.
