Anyone like to shed some light on why Ryan International is looking to hire 747 and 777 Standards Captains?

It's on 350. Seems like a ballsy move, 777's and 744's. I wonder what's going on over there.

hmmm, well, let's see. perhaps they're wanting to get into the 747/777 business?

Seems like a large expansion in wide bodies coinciding with a drawdown in Iraq? I didnt see anything about 747s on their website though

I'd like to know who has 1000 in type that wants this. I figure if you have that kind of time you'd be a senior FO at whatever carrier you're at and would give up A LOT to start over at Ryan. Maybe there's one or two, and that's all they need.

Unless their pay scale has changed a bunch I don't foresee a max exodus from any large carrier like Emirates. Then again money is not everything.

Who are most of the Capts here? Were they ex Delta pilots who retired early before the BK? What are the schedules like at Ryan? Do most people commute to Rockford? Are the pilots happy? Thanks.
