For those of you that have an iPhone, check out "Limitations 737" and "Memory Items 737" in the App Store. Both apps are flash card type study guides for the limitations and memory items, respectively, on the Boeing 737(tailored from the CAL AFM, but can obviously be used for all 737's).

Moderators: Not sure where else to post this. Please delete if this is against the forum rules. Thanks.

If it is tailored from the CAL AFM then it will be of no use to the majority of FI users as CAL doesn't have ridiculous limitations with regards to flap speeds and the use of speed brakes. Also, CAL pilots taxi at around 15-20 knots and cruise around .78-.81 instead of 30-40 knots and .73 with "261 in the transition" like a certain crew I had to follow into SEA 2 nights ago. The CAL AFM also states that after landing, the strobe lights should be turned off for taxi into the gate unlike another large 737 operator that all too often leaves wing strobes on into the gate.

Feel better? Sometimes one just needs to vent! :-)

I happen to agree. Our FOM admonishes any thinking pilot that may want to speed up to help everyone out. When ATC asks my speed I say "a blistering 261 but we'll gladly speed up if you need."

It's just dumb to fly a fixed descent speed no matter the wind/temp/schedule. We are in everyones way now. I even got ran over by American the other day. I hung my head in shame.

Gup

Ok nerds :) I have a droid. I downloaded the SWA FRM. How can I search (ie the binoculars on the normal adobe ) As of now I have to scroll down 1900 pages.

And you're gonna follow me the rest of your career you whiny little b!tch. At least I can make a short approach into CLE unlike a dumba$$ airline who will remain nameless. Thank God the controller let us in since he already knew the morons would be 12 miles out before they turned base.

While I get very little exposure to CLE(except for an upcoming trip strangely enough), I can assure you I can make a very short approach in a 757 or 767. In fact, due to the fact that I can deploy both flaps and the speed brake, I can keep my speed up longer as well as keep it in tight. Sorry you got stuck behind one of our flufs. Did you have to put the gear out over Toledo to make the short approach? I'm sure the pax love that....You guys have become nothing but purple speed brakes spread out all over the lower 48. God help me if I ever have to slow down over the Pacific because you guys want to play ETOPS pilot out to Hawaii....

alot of penis envy going on here..... I have no luck finding either using my ipad for some reason

Try "Limitations" or "Limitations 737" or just "737". The app title is "Limitations 737".

For some reason many apps are not showing up on iPad searches (regardless of compatability).

For those interested Limitations for the B-777 is now on the app store. Search "Limitations 777". 757 and 767 coming soon...
