Has anyone seen the Delta ad..

Where you can get a free checked bag if you use their credit card?

Really?? Shouldn't it be free to BEGIN with? Wasn't it free just over a year ago?

Incredible marketing from the Delta wizards. Makes me laugh everytime I see it.

To you, every SWA guy makes more than every DL pilot..... That really isn't the case on APC.com

Bye Bye---General Lee

General, you really show your arrogance and ignorance with statements like this. Seat for seat, year for year Southwest pilots make more. Add in the fact that we can work as much as we want to, and it blows Delta earning potential out of the water...it's not even close. Live with it.

As far as profit sharing (which you haven't seen in many, many years), Southwest has been depositing checks in employee accounts every year consistantly. Some as high as 14% of their annual pay.

Delta..not so much.

Come back with facts General.

For some unknown reason I was off of FI and was flipping through the channels on my new FLAT SCREEN TV and I happened upon WGN (in Chicago) and I saw the latest SWA TV commercial. A couple of rampers are trying to pull over a plane, saying they are charging too much for bags, up to $120 per trip. Well, that may be lost revenue for the airline, but they are trying to pull over a Volaris A319. Wait, they are trying to pull over the airline that SWA wanted to fly for them to Mexico? Shouldn't those two Bo and Luke Dumbazz Captains (in the previous commercial) be the ones trying to chase that A319 out of town? They should be saying "Hey, we want to fly NONSTOP to Mexico (that was the jist of their own commercial), so get out of here! Git, Git!"

Kinda funny commercials, but not really. WORK ON IT. Do Cheap Fares equal CHEAP commercials? Who are directing these? Kids?

Bye Bye---General Lee

PS---Enjoy AMA, LBB, MAF, ISP, and now EWR!!!! (HAHAHAHAHHAHA)

Oh my god! A flat screen TV! And new!

Now I know you're a rich airline pilot.

I personally beat you in 4 layovers. 3 in Europe, and one in Argentina. But, you did beat me in ELP layovers, AMA turns, LBB throwups, and MAF shtsz. Good for you! You lose.

You need a new angle on your SW attacks!! These are getting old and quite lame.

I really worry about some of you whose importance in life is wrapped up in what you fly and who you fly it for. What is the point of this thread?

GL is a wannabe Delta pilot. He has some kind of inferior complex to those who work at SWA. Kinda sad.

I would be thrilled if Delta negotiates a contract tha is industry leading..

Did it once, to eventually have a CFO sell fuel hedges that lead to billions in losses and then a BK. The Dalpa contract came via the UAL contract, which lead to SWA's current high wages.

No, not really. Just very observant. It is fun to watch how worked up SWA pilots get when someone states that he/she just doesn't want to do what they do. The pay is great, no doubt, but the work in one plane forever, with multiple leg days and 25 min turns, passing through ELP, just isn't for everyone, to their dismay! But explaining this to you, "say again" (how apropos--thanks Robin Leach) is work itself. Read post slowly and try to understand.
