Are there any airlines out there sticking up for Comair and offering preferential hiring?

What about a sympathy strike? Can any regional do that for Comair? We've done it for other regional's I think.

I keep seeing other job opportunities being offered to other regional's who've been screwed over but not Comair.

Thanks.

You are not real are you?

Yes, we already had a sympathy strike for the Comair folks last week, but it didn't work. Sorry.

Sympathy strike?? Huh? Who has done that, and what would it benefit?

But to answer your question, it will be no. In fact, there is very little hiring to be done now. ASA will be tied up with the XJ merger for a while. Skywest and Pinnacle may do a little hiring. It is shrink time for the Regionals.

If there were preferential hiring, I don't think that it would likely be announced.

I have heard that Delta is giving preferential interviews, but I doubt that many Comair people will take them up on that, as an interview there would seem to be merely an exercise.

Once the furloughs are announced expect a little more activity as far as hiring preferences goes.

I remember that during the strike many of our folks got hired by SWA, NWA and some others, but that was during happier times in our industry.

Sort of how Comair gave furloughed Delta pilots pref. hiring. Funny how things come full circle eventually.

Sure you can come to Delta, but you'll have to give up your Comair seniority. Oh wait.

Karma's a beotchhhhh!

You can say that again. There are plenty of people in the Delta hiring process who have good memories. Too bad the people impacted were most likely not around at Comair when it happened.... You can thank the crusty, old Comair pilots for screwing that opportunity. Some Comair folks may still be hired, but I am told that having Comair on your resume sure doesn't help at Delta nowadays. Sad truth. But the older Comair pilots will stay - they really don't care how Delta views them.

And, only if you allow DL to have more 777s......All current Comair FOs should give JC a big hug when they see him next in the hallway....

Bye Bye--General Lee

TT, the sooner you sever all ties to The Evil Empire, the sooner your life will improve. My life is infinitely better post Delta. Best wishes!

you know what this whole Delta hates Comair thing is crap. I am sorry. I wasn't hear during the strike, and I didn't have a say if the Delta pilots could keep their senority. IF I would have taken the job offer at Compass over 3 years ago I would be on the Delta senority, so how can you "punish" someone that could be you if he would have given up his spot at a regional to go to another. At the time majors didn't really like you jumping ship from one to another. I am sad, as I once respected Delta and would buy a ticket on them. I now agree with the passengers I hear in the terminals and Delta Sucks. Don't want to be a part of your family anymore.

PS

Leave tiffanytaylor alone. She is a Comair employee trying to find out if she has a job to pay her bills. All of you that rip her a new one should be ashamed. What did she do to you. I know, here comes the ripping on me.
