Atlantic Southeast management is requesting and strongly encouraging that all pilots either call in sick or fatigued during the next 9 days before the current vacancy bid closes. Atlantic Southeast management wants to ensure that we upgrade the correct number of captains in the event of future pilot shortages or pilot overworking. Therfore, if you can spare an occurrence or a mild browbeating, please participate in the festivities.

Sincerely,
Atlantic Southeast Management

You forgot to add:

"Thank you for all you do!"

Let's do this right, put a sign-up sheet in the crew room and we can try to pick and choose the best days to miss. Simply sign your name and put your id number on there too. Let's get this organized!

No names. No ID numbers. It's all de-identified. We respect your privacy during this exercise in numerical austerity.

If I get extended, I am going to throw a hissy fit!!

In all honesty, it's really surprising that this hasn't actually happened yet. Weak pilot group, I guess.
The Atlantic Southeast pilot group, overall, is a truly outstanding collection of aviation professionals. The Atlantic Southeast management group recognizes the ability of this pilot group to withstand continuous schedule changes and quality of life disruptions. Thank you for all that you do.

That's not interesting, it's a direct reflection on the way the reserves are being treated. It's a testament to the severe understaffing situation we are currently enduring.

Isn't flu season about to begin?
