I have the following questions regarding the Mesa Airlines GO! operation in hawaii should they ever hire again

1. Can you apply directly for a GO! pilot position or do you apply to Mesa Airlines first?

2. If the process requires you to apply to Mesa Airlines directly how senior as either or captain or first officer do you have to be to be awarded a GO ! pilot slot?

3. Do new hires ever get placed or are given the opportunity to bid the hawaii GO ! operation?

1. No, you cannot apply directly to GO! because it is part of the Mesa Air Group and is governed by our collective bargaining agreement. If and when we begin hiring again. And that is a big if since we are in chapter eleven bankruptcy right now, you would go to the bottom of the seniority list as an F/O.

2. I think the most junior pilot out in HI is around four years DOH. This could change drastically in the near future depending on the outcome of bankruptcy proceedings.

3. Yes, a few years ago we did have new hires that were given HI as a base if I remember correctly.

Are you serious? Got to the Go website, is there a work here as a pilot link?

I'm not sure if you kept up with the industry but half of mesa pilots are furloughed. They'll get first dibs for a GO! seat before you ever will.
