the word from way up the comair food chain is delta is going to cut comair to 50 aircraft this week.
believe it or not, that's what one of the CPs told me on friday. i hope its not true.

I got the call from Chicken Little too. But I head it was 5 planes, not 50. Well it might as well be, as reducing Comair to 50 planes would make it the most expensive airline in the entire industry - BY FAR. Every single Captain and FO would be at the very top of their respective pay scales. The rumor is absurd.

Well it was close to happening to PDT/ALG. Go from about 110 planes down to 45 and thats what your gonna get. And if you are flying outdated equipment-----hence a 50 seat RJ or a 37 Seat TP... Look out!

Earlier this week I heard that Delta lost it's suite with SkyWest over IROP reimbursements, I don't recall the dollar amount but it was in the tens of millions. Supposedly, Delta didn't want to fork over cash so they offered aircraft currently operated by Comair. Don't know how many. Rumor floating around the crew lounge so add a few grains of salt.
