Delta cancels upcoming interviews

My buddy just got a call saying his interview was being pushed back 1 year due to more people coming back from LOAs than expected. Anyone else received this call?

I got the call too and was told everyone in the first week of August was getting the call. Option is to keep your current date and interview anyway. Or get first calls next year to come interview.

They are not hired until they step foot in a class. It is written that way for this reason.

As for what is going on, time will tell, but it is a very quick response unless 100 guys dropped their letters on Friday.
Something else seems to be in play.

Two years, but there is other layered language that will still stay in place. They furlough one person on the list today, and they are taking six seats out of jets 128-153 of the 76 seat jets.

ACL is actually right. More bypasses accepted recall then they thought. So based on 305 needed, they have all they need.

I personally don't know. Was just told due to them comming back more than they expected.

Those that have been HIRED already should still be attending classes. The cancellations are for INTERVIEWS because they feel that they've Hired enough off the street guys based on current needs.

Had a successful interviewer on the jumpseat just yesterday. He was saying that as far as interviews go, there were many that were receiving the conditional offer. For his day, six got an offer. But for the day before, all 12 interviewees were given the offer. Also said that word was that BRs have creeped up to the 60 level. He said he was conditionally given a class in Oct.

I suspect then, that they're just coming to the end of their needs. 305 (total) as promised nothing more to see here. Move along.
