the best part is you are on real first year pay--- notice the subsidy is no longer available. sad

To all furloughed United pilots,

We will be filling positions in a “new hire” class at GoJet in accordance with LOA 03-22 “Job Opportunities for Furloughed United Pilots” that is scheduled to start on 19 July 2010. These are FO positions and there are three (3) positions available that are being filled under paragraph twelve of the agreement, which are replacement positions and do not carry the pay subsidy. Positions for this class will be filled in seniority order based on a furloughed pilot’s preference indicated by their submitted FCOL Preference form on file as of 0900 CDT Monday, 21 June 2010. If you are interested in an opportunity with GoJet and you have previously submitted an FCOL Preference form indicating a preference to work at GoJet or “First Available”, there is no need to submit a new FCOL Preference form, unless you wish to change your preference or contact information. If you have NOT submitted an FCOL Preference form, logon to http://ual.alpa.org, click on the “Furlough” pull down, and then on “Jobs”, scroll down the Jobs page to get to the information about LOA 03-22, click on the link titled “Online Interactive FCOL Preference form” to submit the form electronically. Once submitted you will receive an e-mail confirmation at your e-mail on file with ALPA.

Please utilize the information available on the “Jobs” page to answer most of your questions concerning LOA 03-22 and the process. Questions concerning this job offer received by e-mail or phone will be answered time permitting. If possible, discuss taking this job offer with your spouse or significant other, so if you are called with the offer you will have already made your decision.

NIIIIIICE!!

So you get hired in 1999 and after the second furlough eleven years later you get 19k to be an FO at an alter ego regional. What a career!

Hey this is GREAT! Then you can go be PART of the reason you were furloughed in the first place.....for not even 18K!

Aviation...always a wonder!

Alter Ego, Freedom 2

Wow, ALPA is really hooking them up! HAHAHAHA!!! ALPA SUCKS!!!

1,400+ reasons why CAL scope will endure.

Yeah it sucks being (ASA) one of the highest paid Regionals in the country.

LOL great sarcasm. For a second, I thought you were serious. Honestly, who do people care if United pilots go work at Gojet, it's their flying isn't it? Maybe they will want to bring in ALPA! What do you think? Discuss.

You're just raking in the cash, arent you Daddy Warbucks?
You proud of the fact you make those crap wages? If so, do us all a favor. Jump head first into a wood chipper.

Never said I was "raking" in the cash, just saying that we are one of the highest paid Regional airlines out there. Would I like to be at a Legacy airline making more, of course! But since no one has been hiring (Yes I know DL now is) it's been hard to move on. Sorry you are so emotional about my statement they have doctors for that! Have a nice day!

You're a fool. Discuss that!

Why would you want to move on from Assa? You walk around in the presense of Delta pilots in ATL, if you close your eyes and use your imagination, you become them. Too bad they have the different Gold style markings vs your ash gray plastic stuff, at least the public doesn't know the difference!!!

I am amzed that people will work for that kind of money. Its not like you suck it up for one year and it gets better (28-30K). Don't people relize that you can bag grocery's and be home every night with no commute except riding your bike the the grocery store amd make more money. Oh yea but you can't fly that nice jet and make other people millions. It will continue until people get some pride and don't except these ******************** jobs.

I agree. I would bet there are PLENTY of UAL pilots that flew regionals prior to their coveted position too. I wish they could turn back time and protect scope. This profession would be different, I suspect.

Scope relief in United/CAL's JCBA is a no go issue. It'll die before it goes for vote. I'd be concerned if I was a regional airline.

Just like when General Lee said the Delta pilots would NEVER relax scope for their contract. History will repeat itself in one form or another. 70 seats and below are gone. Do everything you can to keep 71+ at mainline. The powers that be recognize the competive disadvantage United will have if it can not use 51-70seat jets at its regional carriers if other airlines can. Hold the line at 70!

Gojet is an alterego

ALPA or no ALPA theabove will not change

UAL should take back all of gojets flying and dump all go jet pilot on the street. That will be fair.

Ummmm...no, I"m not ex military, not a prick and can carry on a conversation without asking for a ride home.....

.

That depends on how you look at things. Unofficially, it's no more of an alter ego as is Skywest to ASa or Republic to Chataqua or The dark side vs The Force when it comes to the whipsaw factor. The issue is that legally it's not an alter ego. Alpa can come in and straighten that out. What does everybody think? Will Mr. Prater put down the platter of ribs and actually do it and finish the job they started in 05? The fact that Mr. Prater is sending his pilots to gojets means that it's a legit operation in the views of ALPA! ALPO indeed... Discuss.
