A woman from Ferndale, Mich. is suing United Airlines after she was left alone on a plane for hours after it had landed.
Ginger McGuire was aboard a United Express http://news.yahoo.com/s/y_detroit/y_detroit_ts2286#DC to Philadelphia. She says she fell asleep during the flight. It landed shortly after midnight Tuesday but no one woke her up until a cleaning crew found her four hours later.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/y_detroit/y_detroit_ts2286#says they are working with a regional partner carrier to determine why the plane wasn't cleared upon landing.

McGuire told reporters, "I fell asleep on the plane and next thing you know I wake up, it's 400 in the morning. Nobody's on the plane. Nothing."
McGuire has hired Geoffrey Fieger who is filing a lawsuit for false imprisonment, emotional distress and negligence.

This happened again? Holy crap!! Twice in one day!!! What's this industry coming to?? I can't believe it!! If only they would...........

Its natural selection. If your so fuc%$ing retarded you cant wake up when the plane lands you deserve to be left and die of dehydration or lack of food

Umm.... How does one get locked in an airplane anyway? I am pretty sure the main door can always be opened from inside. Also over-wing exits make for a nice way to leave. Maybe she should have paid a little more attention to the safety briefing.

Pay attention? This is America we're talking about here...c'mon cuz...

After reading about this in several articles, it sounds like this woman might be a bit of an opportunist and is just looking for a pay day from United. Obviously the crew needed to do a sweep, but it seems a bit over the top that she is claiming "false imprisonment." I mean really who could sleep for four hours on an RJ?!?

I can't believe all you frigin' nimrod regional idiots are blaming the passenger for this! Holy crap, they left a passenger (CUSTOMER) on board overnight in the airplane.
Just another black eye for the regionals and the airline industry. You're all turning into Greyhound bus drivers! I and most people (including the FAA and TSA) don't care if she fell asleep and didn't wake up on landing, it's the responsibility of the FA and ultimately the PIC that all passengers are off the airplane and the ACFT is secure.
HAVE A LITTLE FRIGIN PRIDE IN YOUR JOB FOR ONCE AND DO THE RIGHT THING, YOUR CARRER MAY DEPEND ON IT!

I agree, the lady will sue and she will win. Most likely putting Trans States out of business with United. Who would have thought that a retard lady from Phyladelpyia would be the end of TSA?

... retard lady from Phyladelpyia would...

It's nice how you throw that "retard" label around. Might want to work on your spelling before you try another hard word like "Philadelphia".
