In case anyone missed it the first time time around, PBS Frontline is airing its 'Flying Cheap' documentary Tuesday night (May 25th).

I like the regional union rep trying to justify that paying $16k a year is acceptable and other people find a way to live on it.

Yeah gotta love the Florida tan with the chapped lips, dentures up top and the I'm-in-my-late-50's-but-I-feel-25-haircut. What an assmunch...

He is not a union rep. The RAA is a MGT. association. They are the guys that stay up all night thinking of ways to screw you and then lobby our government to do so.

Essentially Roger Cohen said......Let them eat cake. I streamed this on NetFlix a couple of weeks ago and it reminded me of why I got away from the regional scene. They're not much more than sweatshops whether you work in flight ops. or maint. Without a doubt, $16k to fly any aircraft professionally is pure insanity! However, as long as they have guys willing to pimp themselves out to "live the dream" this sort of model will thrive.
