On another note...while looking up airlines to/fr various midwest locations, noticing Lots of "ALASKA AIRLINES" flights (that are really code shares with Delta). Not talking about to or from Alaska hubs either.
That code share crap will be the death of a lot of jobs

AS is a very robust code share and yes, they have taken a few routes.

That's okay...isn't the DL Union Pres. best buds with Ed (high pilot salary keeps me awake at night) BASTIAN anyway? I'm sure together they want only the best for your pilots. (Oh yeah, and Ford & Harrison's addition to the HR sr mgt team, Mike Campbell too) :erm:

Every one of your pilots should take their pitchforks to their LECs and end the APATHY before it ends your careers (and what's left of your salary for the senior guys that make it through with a job). Complaining abt Moak on message boards doesn't stop him from acting negatively on your behalf. ACTION and involvement of EVERYONE (not thinking someone else will do it for me) will be what it takes for restoration for you (and domino to the rest of the industry)

What DISTRACTION will they come up with next for you guys to take your eyes off what is important??? B*tching about FAs, uniforms, politics, religion and everything BUT SAVING THIS PROFESSION is EXACTLY what they want you to be focusing on...from the looks of the boards it is working.

Jeesh ACL and message board jockeys like him LIVE on these boards like it's a full time job...how much of that effort is spent creating ACTUAL change in a REAL MANNER for you? None. ALL of you need to get it together OLD SCHOOL and learn how to deal with these conniving vipers. They don't make millions by being nice to pilots.

Trust me many of us work for change. This does not take up that much time.

As for what we are going to do with scope and our PWA in general in 2012....
To put it mildly people are already worked up about a lot of it. The MEC will be electing our new Negotiation Committee in a few weeks.
The new reps in ATL, DTW, and SLC agree with the ones in NYC and LAX, MEM, and CVG that scope is not a for sale item.
The minds working within the Association are different than before. We may not recapture the 76 seat flying, but given all of these Reps way of thinking I cannot see them falling for a pay hike for that flying.

Oh yeah, btw, I do more than just post here.

I have been calling for a shakeup for some time. The changes are going to be interesting.

Everyone on every message board "calls for a shakeup". I am saying that the 14 or so + hrs a DAY everyDAY that you spend on here (and I'm not just picking on you, many are like that, though not as prolific) could be spend on activities which DIRECTLY impact ACTUAL change...not just getting people riled up...but actual activities which FORCE the union's hand to actually REPRESENT.

PDA's are a wonderful thing! :D

I beleive that many of the ones on here that complain are also the ones that constantly pepper their reps. There are only so many union positions.

I know I am involved on some level. More than I can say for many.

As for 14 hrs a day on this board, nah, another two yes.
