There's a whole lot of BS in those numbers. A bunch of Citations have been parked, and the Challenger order has obviously been drastically modified, with at least 5 aircraft that were destined for Xojet by Bombardier having had their (Xojet) tail numbers changed (before delivery) and put back into inventory.
You're confusing fleet size and the expected fleet size.
Where do you get your intel on their modification and cancellations of orders?
My source of info is confidential - however suffice it to say I'd be happy to provide you with serial numbers of Challengers that were destined for Xojet and were never delivered, if that will convince you of my knowledge base.
And as far as "expected" fleet size goes - yeah, I seem to remember that Day Jet was expected to operate 239 Eclipse 500 jets! And I expect to be as wealthy as Bill Gates next year.
Did I strike a nerve by asking a simple question??? Relax manager extraordinaire. You should go back and read the posters original question. Any company can expect to have such amount of planes in the futeure. And being a manager, you should know that orders cancel and/or get deferred.
Hahahaha, wealthy as Bill Gates (and yes, I got your poor attempt at sarcasm)?? Not by working at ExcelAire.
Did you strike a nerve? I have no clue as to what you're talking about - perhaps you should look at your words to see whose nerve was struck.
As far as ExcelAire is concerned, whether or not I work there has nothing to do with my financial situation.
How many jets does XOJET operate?
No parked aircraft either, we fly them all!
The Premier does, but I don't think the Kig Air is on the cert anymore, it hasn't done a trip in a long time, over a year I think.Except for the Premier, and the B200...
I've NEVER interviewed at XO. I was there in Nov and saw the B200 tucked away in the corner. The Premier was in pieces scattered around the hangar. The guy I was with said it hasn't flown in months.
That's all.
Was not refering to you.....sorry. I was refering to the director of the flight department who wrote a couple of posts earlier in this string.
Anyway...I dont care that they are not flying the Premier or the King Air....I would just like to know how things are going there....attitudes, rumour, busy or not? What is being said about the UAE base with all the money coming from over there? Is the flying in UAE for the investors or are there actually some customers there? Business picking up from corporate departments that are downsizing? Customers coming over from fractionals?
Thanks.
We are really busy right now, of course, but it has been very steady since even before the holidays. There has been a lot more flying in the ME lately! Don't know if they are "owner" or charter trips though...
I think that attitudes are still great and only good rumors we are hearing every week in conference calls. Growth and new "things" coming to XO. Some is private stuff still but I can tell you we are getting our entire fleet fitted with inflight internet starting this month.
I have noticed a lot of "Frac" owners coming our way lately. Don't know about Corp flight depts though.
We just hired 2 more guys last month and they are now both online flying. 1 is going to the ME as a full time guy and the other is staying stateside. They are still real gun shy to hire a big class yet... I have a feeling we will start having some more classes soon though. Deliveries of the 300 will start back up soon...
Hope this helps and Good luck, its a great place to work!
