Hi! Planning to do some travel in Central America in November and was hoping to hop a Jumpseat back into the states from Liberia, CR to IAH. Can any CAL guys/gals tell me which is the overnight hotel. I'd like to see about a cheap place to stay and maybe even ride to the airport with the crew. it is an 8am departure it looks like. Feel free to PM if you don't wish to say location in a public forum. Thanks!

No offense but I think even PMing you that info would be a security breach....

Good luck in your travels though! Happy T-day,

Really? I'm a tourist not a te**orist.... c'mon man!

Check some of my previous posts and look how long i've been online here. Does that prove I'm for real?

At DL we don't fly there (yet) and I'm just looking for some info to make my personal travel more easy.

We at DL do fly there from LAX. I'm sure you could find the hotel on one of the LAX 737 rotations.

it's not where the crew stays, but there is a hilton garden inn (or some variation of hilton) directly across the street from the airport in liberia if that helps to get you close for the early departure.

It is a nice overnight and nice all inclusive resort. Goes senior. Scabs love it and eat and get drunk like pigs.

Not anymore. It hasn't been all inclusive for close to a year. It's a junior overnight. You get in after dark and leave the hotel before the sun comes up. It's a sucky overnight

Real clued in to DL ops aren't you?

Could you call TSA for me? I've done 20 turns into there in the last couple of years, and my "Yo tengo mucho dinero, Yo soy Gringo Grande" pick up line has drowned out by what looks like a DL B737 every time I've tried it. Could be an Al-Queda impostor B737, although I think that cockpit is pretty close to waterboarding myself.

I'll see what I can do. Maybe some room numbers, credit card numbers, crew home addresses while their away from home. We'll fix ya' right up. :erm:

simma down, I got all the info I need. thanks for your help! I know about the DL flights now, but CO is still a better fit to where I need to get...

I have done my share of international jumpseating. I know what i'm talking about, and I've found that its generally more trouble free hooking up with the crew at the overnight hotel and riding in with them. At larger airports its sometimes next to impossible to get to the crew and let them know you would like a ride, especially if the ticket counter agent is clueless to jumpseating (happens more often than you know) I've had it go both ways. Never been to Costa Rica so don't know what the airport scene is like there, THUS MY ORIGINAL QUESTION regarding CONTINENTAL!
