When the company hands out a certificate, it's generousity.

When your union uses YOUR money to give you something you don't need it's called, well, it's so stupid I don't think a word has been crafted yet that quite fits. Foolishly irresponsible will have to do.

It's like borrowing $20 from your mom to buy a Mother's Day present, just so you can hear her say how much she loves you.

Exactly, if they wanted to impress everyone, they should write Sheham's law firm a letter requesting a $400K reduction on the legal bills so that the money could be distributed to furloughees. If I am spending $2M on attorneys, I am entitled to a 25% discount. Unfortunately we all know they will never make a request like this. . .

Even if they asked, there's no way those scumbags would cough up a dime (or even a penny) for a furloughed guy. I warned everyone I flew with a year and a half ago that these were the among the worst lawyers I've ever dealt with (from personal experience with the Peterson part of the group). But I was repeatedly told (by the guys I was flying with) to relax, that these guys "know what they're doing."

On the bright side, look how easy they (Seeham and crew) made your DFR suit. After reading the transcripts, it was like taking candy from a baby...
