No. they will be merged, along with the Frontier guys. If any of the pilot groups object to the way the merger is handled, they can object, and an arbitrator will make the merger decisions. Congress passed a law after the AA/TWA debacle that prevents the MWA pilots from being fired/laid off.

Now, as to what is happening, I have no idea. I would like to know, also. I wanted to go to MWA, and wish they had taken the AirTran deal, but MWA mgmt was not too smart, in my opinion.

Pissed? quite the oppostie. Delta signed a codeshare with Midwest(RAH) and United signed a ticketing agreement with Mokulele(RAH hawaii). United vs SWA one on one in DEN would have been badddd for United. IMO most of the RAH codeshare partners were in on these deals, except probably AA who is stuck with the CHQ contract for a few more years.

Check your facts. ALPA and the flight attendants association both say all Midwest flight crews are being furloughed in Nov/Dec. Not exactly an integration.

they will be intergrated, sadly, after all of them have been furloughed. RAH/IBT were waiting for the F9 deal to close so we can merge all 5 (yes 5) seniority lists at once.

It is so disgusting watching Midwest go by the wayside. I have talked to a few republic guys that think that 80 bucks an hour to fly in the left seat of that jet is good. Frontier now midwest. I honestly hope that Airtran and Southwest demolish that company. Sorry guys dont wish for anyones demise. Most of it is not your fault (Well those who push to get paid what they deserve). However Republic is worst than Mesa. Its a cancer that must go.

Luckily they are outnumbered these days. Things will change here. It will be a bloody fight. Most of the new guys come from Expressjet, Mesaba, Comair. They make up the bottom third of the pilots. Very motivated too. Kinda like what happening at Airtran. Their MEC is an fo overthere.

I did NOT say they wouldn't be furloughed. I was responding to another poster and said they would not be laid off/fired, which means terminated, and lose their jobs.

They WILL be merged, but when, I have NO idea. I read another poster that said when all the dust settles that RAH wants to merge everyone at once, which makes sense.

I hope that for the people now furloughed, or any that might be in the future, it won't be for too long!!!

Midwest pilots will be integrated into the RAH seniority list. RAH wants to integrate all seniority lists at one time, as this seems to be the most correct way in keeping with the spirit of A/M (ALL affected parties must be included in talks). Midwest is returning aircraft back to Boeing, and will have zero 717's by the end of November. Until the seniority integration is complete, Midwest pilots cannot fly any RAH aircraft, including the 190's in Midwest paint. So, Midwest pilots will essentially be furloughed as their planes leave. However, for integration purposes, any Midwest pilot who was active at the date of the acquisition (the date all the legal papers were signed) will be considered active for integration purposes. It is a lousy situation, but it is the most correct way given that Midwest pilots are losing their pre-merger aircraft. If you look at the Frontier pilots, they are keeping their airframes, and therefore are not facing furlough.

The sooner integration happens, the sooner the Midwest pilots can get back on the line. Midwest guys NEED F9 pilots to cooperate, and not stall integration. Otherwise, it may be a year or more until Midwest guys get back in the game.
