Kellner, the last that had any hint of loyalty to the company is retiring. CAL is better off financially than UAL but is, unfortunately, invisible as a brand name. There is cash in CAL and the lawyers, bankers, and engine/aircraft owners will sell it down the road to make a go of pretending to resurrect UAL. I say "pretend" because the end goal is simply to suck as much money into various pockets as is possible before the whole thing collapses again and UAL is sold in parts to DAL, AMR, or any other buyer. And this is glass half-full view.
