The good news is though that in a good or bad economy Mesa sucks.

Nothing. All regionals will eventually end up like Comair. That is why your best bet is to move onto a major when possible. It might take awhile, but I have 38 years left in this industry. A lot can happen. I am not wishing ill upon ASA or any other regional, but I decided that it wasn't worth the risk staying at my regional.

I have always thought of this industry as musical chairs when the music stops somebody will be left without a chair. Plan, plan, plan ahead.

Parrothead...I would love to pick your brain about the AT-SAT, etc. Just submitted my stuff for PUBNAT8 the other night. Seems kinda hard to find good info regarding the process outside of a few write-ups over at stuckmic.

Also, whatever happens, best of luck to our compadres at ASA! Hopefully, all of this doom and gloom won't go down the way some seem to think it will.

Sky West did not care about purchasing ASA, they purchased your Terminal in ATL. If DAL does not play fair with SKW they will just threaten to sell the terminal to Air Tran or South West.

LMAO, then Delta will DROP SkyW. and Inc. will be in an extreme situation much like Mesa. I highly doubt there will be any leveraging going on from the Regional side. The tail does not wag the dog.

That was just help sweeten the deal.

Read the DCI contract. Gates revert back to Delta in the event of Skywest/ASA no longer doing the flying they currently do. Has no weight as a threat what so ever.

heard some people talking yesterday about how happy they were that their tickets cost half as much this year as last year. The planes have been packed because of less flights-why don't the airlines charge more??
