Some folks may not know the backstory of VPS....

The new NWA all of the former ASA employees (some of whom had been there 20 yrs) with people who have no freaking clue, poor training, and no experience...

Of course problems will occur-all the experienced people are gone and the new guys get paid 1/2 to 1/3 what the other people did. Screwups are very predicatible...

Of course, it is now all about saving money-screw the employees, the customers, the local communities we serve.

Screw everyone (just make sure RA and Steenland are well compensated for all these "synergies.")

You get what you pay for.

Delta wants to step over a dollar to save a dime, then you have to expect that quality is going to suffer. Although when you run an operation based on the bottom line, quality is probably not in your original equation.

Let's add Tulsa to that list as well. Pinchaloaf sucks horribly bad. Got in 10 min. early, left 45 min. late....1 guy to unload bags, and load them. Recoculous.

...and Monroe, LA (MLU)

However, Chattanooga, TN (CHA) seems to be running fairly well when I have been there. It seems chaotic at times there, but they turn the a/c quickly.

Add Montgomery to that list. After swapping crews and sitting there 20 min on a 25 min turn I wonder why we are not boarding. I walk up to the gate and find the door wide open and passengers at the counter with no one in site. One pass looks at me and says "yah no one has been here in half an hour". I go down to the ramp and holy cow they are still unloading the bags from the inbound flight from 25 min ago! I ask the supervisor on the ramp what is going on and he starts yelling at me that he has no help and too bad I will just have to wait and he does not care he is going to quit. WOW. I told him the door was wide open at the gate he better hope the TSA does not find it first. He also said that Pennuckle was trying to run the station with just a few full time people and like 20 part timers to save money. But the part timers don't show up just to work 2-3 hours.
