Per APC...Looks like they are hiring into the fall...

Mins??

Is this the beginning of movement in the industry???
 
Their web site does not show any pilot positions being open.
 
I sure hope it's the 717. Those are so much newer with the glass cockpits! I'd even pay to get a job in that!

So would an aspiring Gulfstream pilot.
 
They haven't put up the information on the website yet, but I'm told it's coming soon. From what I've heard the interviews will start later this summer, and classes start in the fall. Probably 30 to 40 new-hires this fall, and more in late 2010 as more A330's start arriving.

This newest class of new-hires will be going into both the 767 and the 717. Chances are that since the growth next year is on the widebody side, there will be plenty of spots on both sides of the pilot list.

As for mins - I don't have a clue. Of course you'll need ATP mins at least, but to be competitive, probably3k-4k hours, time in jets, and some connection to the islands or someone who works there. Without a recommendation it will be awfuly hard to get a job here.
