Depending on literal translation...

remember, be my mirror, my sword, my shield.... missionaries in a foreign field, 4 some reason I can't explain, I know the chief pilot won't call my name....

Whatever coldplay. Not hard to figure out riddles, especially by ones who hid behind the thin veil of anonymity.

How's the south end of Lake Conroe these days?

Interviewer: "Why did you leave Continental?"

SFR: "I was fired because I didn't wear my uniform on a ferry flight."

Interviewer: "Why didn't you wear your uniform?"

SFR: "It's a stupid policy."

Interviewer: "Thanks for coming."

Take some pride in yourself, career and employer by wearing your uniform. This career field is filled with individuals who take little pride in wearing a sharp uniform and hat. If I had seen you that day I would have called a chief pilot pronto. Again, take some pride in yourself.:mad:

SFR did not pick that up out of open time unless he exercised his "reserve pickup" function to do some flying on his reserve days. I know him and was also on reserve on the day he did the reposition flight. Let's not get out of hand here.

You guys know me good enough to know that I would never voluntarily fly.....come on guys.....

It is good, but we are actually in Bentwater now. Middle of the lack, sorta kinda.

Where would this interview take place? definitely not another airline.....

That is because you are not cool and are probably a robot.

So, you guessed it, I have flown this month on reserve, but still not too much.

Anyways, I show up on Sunday to deadhead to AMA to pick up a freshly painted 757 and ferry it back. I wore comfy clothes, Banana Republic pants and a nice Hollister shirt, I kinda dressed like an off-duty gay NTA flight attendant.

The captain was in full uniform and when I met him at the B86 gate the first thing he said is "so where is your uniform man?". I said "uh, oh, I lost it at home, ha"

He says very seriously that "you gotta have your uniform on all flights..." I said, "ok, I can go home, no problem". He says "I don't think anyone will notice anyways"

NO kidding, ya think!! He said that a memo came out that said we have to wear it on ferry flights too. I told him that is the reason I did not know, I don't read the memos.

I can't believe that!! If I was a captain I would never wear the uniform for ferry ops. I can't believe how many pilots wear their uniform during the commute and jumpseating to work...WHY?? And guess what, I am still not going to wear it on my next ferry.

I think we at CAL should prioritize things. These memos are stupid, making a profit is smart. We should focus on profit and safe operation, not stupid things like uniforms on ferry flights and constant rate descents into London...

Feedback por favor.....

Not that you had much credibility in my book, but you lost that little bit here.

Tell everyone to stop complaining, then complain yourself. Add to that, disregarding policies you don't believe in just because you think they are stupid. Can't wait to see your list of flying policies you throw out the window just because you don't see the point.

I don't know whats cooler;

You turning up to work not wearing a CAL uniform to fly a CAL flight;

You posting the fascinating details on the internet;

You telling the PIC and flightinfo that you "...you dont read the memos.."

Or you;

being collegiate on the post by saying "cmon guys ..you know i dont..." blah, blah, blah.

Do you honestly think thay 'guys' give a monkeys about you

How old are you?

Seriously...people like you embarrass what used to be a great profession....and the reason it 'used to be' is because wnnabe's like you dilute the ranks with your fratoligy bs.

But let me guess...you want to be paid well and treated with respect by mgt an co-workers...well sonny you have'nt got a chance of either if you dont read the memos and wear your uniform...but hey its not about the profession - nope..its all about you and your right to the wear the khakis.

get a life ...
