I've done some research on a previous question I had on using the G.I. Bill for CFI training.
For anyone interested in using the G.I. Bill for any kind of training other than private (not covered) take note - the new post-9/11 G.I. Bill will no longer cover flight training of any kind (ATP, type ratings, etc.). This goes into effect in August. However, you do not have to opt into this new G.I. Bill - you can maintain the current benefits of the existing G.I. Bill if you choose. The only flight training that would be covered under the new bill would be if you were enrolled in a full time university flight program like Embry-Riddle, etc. There's a link below that shows the differences between old/new.
