Heard from a source on the inside that DHL has told ASTAR that they anticipate DC8 flying beyond 2009 and that they have asked ASTAR for a quote for 767 operations...... Care to comment? ASTAR?

If I have learned anything from 14 years at Astar ... it's that one should believe half of what one reads and none of what one hears.

Also, If management ever speaks, they are also lying.

Rumors here (as they are everywhere) are rampant and not worth repeating.

ditto

767's are a lie.

I would bet we are done by July 1st if not sooner.

Time to go to plan B.

See ya!!!!

They're asking everybody for quotes. Not having a 767 on their certificate won't help Astar in the bidding process.

Nothings changed.

More wisdom from the long ago fired one. Shouldn't you be down at Lowe's with the "Undocumented workers" waiting on a drywall job?

As Astar draws down their operations, your oft-repeated expression of concern and support for your fellow pilots has not gone unnoticed by others in the professional community.

I'm sure you'll make a fine addition to whatever organization is fortunate enough to hire you.

Jim, just because you are paranoid don't think you can still post anti-Astar mis-information, slander, and lies out of spite and bitterness and get away with it.

As for your "fellow pilot" concerns; you need not worry. That doesn't include you anymore. Never will.

And this relates to "Astar to fly 767's?" exactly........HOW??????

I would think that under the present circumstances, you've got enough problems with that "non-concessionary" contract you signed. If I were you, I'd want to lay REAL low on the subject of how you handled your hostages in the negotiations leading to that contract. At some point in the future (maybe 40 years or so?), the details will be mostly forgotten and you can tell your great-grandkids about "the brotherhood of ALPA" and of your bravery and gallantry in facing down those "lying, scheming, two-faced DHL/Astar managers." Until then, Ix-nay on the ostages-Hay, OK?

In the meantime, if you feel that "mis-information, slander, and lies" are being posted, just tell us why you feel the information is incorrect, citing your sources if possible. Leave the Jerry Springer, trailer-park stuff in the trailer park.
