Are there any regionals that train AQP? If so what is your training schedule like?

I'm guessing most use AQP. At Compass one day sim event every six months, two days of ground school and a little at home training every nine months, and two day sim event every 12 months (this year it's three days for CAT II training). I could be mixing this up a little but I think it's right.

At Comair I think it was two days of ground school every 12 months and two days of sim training every nine months for everyone (at least on the CR7). Again, I think this is right, but it's been a while...

Piedmont is AQP.

Once a year for both CA and FO. 3 Days of ground school, two sessions in the sim. The first sim is the manuevers validation... A lot like a 121.447 ride but it is train to proficiency (to an extent). The second is a LOFT which is pass/fail.

If you bone up the MV the company can pass you, but bring you back in 6 months for a recheck.

Thanks guys. Do you remember the total number of days in your initial footprint not including indoc?

Hmmmm...

I think it was about 30 days give or take a few. That includes systems ground school, sim training, and two days off per week (per contract).

Not avail at Mesaba though supposedly it's the next "Item" in the line to be done, But then again it was "in the works" to type FO's on thier 12 month recurrent in their recurrent type if they (FO's) so wanted........ But then again I am still shocked that we are getting the CRJ's qual'd for CAT II....

I believe Horizon is AQP now, but I don't work there. Where I aviate, we're still in the dark ages. (Rumor has it recurrent LOFT is coming some time this year, though!)

Actually you can sign up for it. The approval process is not easy.

4-3. APPROVAL PROCESS.
Applicants develop, implement, and operate the AQP in five
sequential phases. FAA approval of each phase marks the completion of that phase and entry
into the next. Developing and implementing an AQP requires a commitment of resources for
both the FAA and a certificate holder. The FAA and the certificate holder must use their
resources in an effective and efficient manner. The FAA has established a transition time
criterion in order to provide a clear delineation of FAA expectations regarding reasonable
progress towards AQP implementation. Accordingly, continuation in AQP for applicants who
do not initiate phase IV within the 30th month of phase I approval, as indicated in figure 4-1, will
be subject to a review and analysis of their progression towards completing AQP. If
circumstances do not warrant an extension, AQP and the Single Visit Training Program Plan

approval (if applicable) may be withdrawn
