How much crosswind are you guys allowed? Also, how do you factor the gusts?

Thanks!

That's an easy one. You multiply the taxi speed of a Southwest 737 (40-60 knots at most airports, maybe V1 minus 5 knots if its the last leg) and divide it by the square root of how many drinks the cockpit crew had at the bar the night before.

35 knot demonstrated crosswind.
As for computing speeds, add 1/2 the steady and all the gust, not to exceed 20 kts. For example 350@12G20 would equate to a target speed increase of 14 (6+8). In calm winds you only add five. Hope this helps.

Is that with or without your AT's?

For FL the autothrottles take the gust, when going manual you do the fancy calculations.

yeah the new calculations here are stupid. Watched a guy plant it on hard while the auto throttles "handled it"

Use the following formula courtesy of Will Farrell:

The angle of my dangle is inversely proportionate to the heat of my meat.

That should work for you.

who cares? i hope you can finally sleep at night knowing this information!
