Here's my gut feeling:

Bill will bow out quietly and go to his power co. as CEO, Tildon will complete contract and be made a hero while expanding by 5 a/c, all pilots will remain on furlough as an announcement is made by DAL that they are "in talks to merge."

I'm thinking you're pretty close to the truth.

I guess I better start getting back into shape. Otherwise, I won't be height-weight proportionate for mother Delta. They won't hire you unless you look good in their Russian submarine officer's blazer.

After I get fitted, I'll start looking for another job, since they'll most likely furlough us junior guys still on the property.

So let me get this straight. Once the second round of furloughs is complete, everyone will still be under 75 hours. This includes the increased summer time flying and now the new expansion (Seattle - Austin, and PDX-OGG). I hope everyone doesn't mind their vacations being cancelled.

Oh, worry not my friend. We have a lot of VSA'ers who are more than willing to step up to the plate and help out in times of need.

Of the guys not doing VSA, there are still plenty of guys picking up to 85. This pilot group would eat it....strike that....is eating it's young. Dropping the A plan for new hires and picking up to 85. LAX had NO, yes...NO reserves last weekend and they STILL want to furlough? What kind of F'd up place is this? The Co is trying to deny moving expenses for cars if you don't move your entire household and the union says "expense it then grieve it." Again...F'd up! I WELCOME DAL....come and SAVE us please. Flush this Mngmt and union leadership. What happened to the Co-terminal? Union says "if the co wanted it they could have blah blah blah..." What about what the PILOTS wanted? F'd up!

Ok....time to calm down and go get a tripple shot expresso while on my 2 hr productivity break.....oh yeah....Also on day 6 of 9 straight. Gotta love the FAR interpretation!

Baja Out!

Furlough swallows, yes it does and my thoughts are with the furloughees. Sitting reserve sucks, no doubt about it. Now, Delta buying our tiny little company.... You think we'll be taken care of by our "DALPA brothers and sisters"?
Still waiting for ALPA to "take it back".
